I'm Barbara Newton, a Brisbane based artist specialising in oil and watercolour paintings of Australian and European content.

The Barbara A Newton Art Gallery showcases a diverse range of artwork including portraits, wildlife paintings, oil paintings of Australian seascapes, European art and watercolour paintings of both native and exotic flowers.

The painting style I have chosen is traditional with an occasional touch of surrealism allowing me to create unique and interesting artwork that has received numerous awards and favourable recognition in the art world.

A number of my oil paintings have been created on wrap-around stretch canvases and are unframed while other oil and watercolour paintings are framed with good quality frames.

Our frames have all been individually selected to enhance the subject of each painting. All artwork from the gallery may be purchased with or without a frame.

All prices shown in the gallery are in Australian dollars and as you will be dealing directly with the artist I'm sure you will find the purchase of my artwork quite inexpensive.
